Relaxation and fun become a restful refuge for a couple who travels frequently. The starting point was a photograph my clients captured during their trips to the Caribbean coast. For the main bedroom, we selected a serene color theme of blues and white, 100% cotton fabrics in soft textures that resemble the ocean, and adds a relaxed, breezy feeling to what can be hot and humid Houston weather. For this project, my client chose a customized 80" round walnut table for her dining space to create a feeling of informality and elegance. My client's love for bright, vibrant colors led her to select a lime-green velvet fabric for the dining room chairs. We also customized the placemats and napkins in 100% linen fabric to coordinate with her existing china and glasses. Their granddaughter also participated in the selection of colors for the walls and fabrics for her bedroom. My clients loved the outcome and were thrilled we were able to incorporate vibrant colors and a large round table so they could frequently host informal parties with their family and friends.
